There’s a saying that nicely summarizes most trends and obsessions, “What’s old is new again.” Incidentally, Textpattern is once again powering this site. While I loved using Movable Type, a couple botched upgrades and a few other niggles made it more of a hassle than it was worth (in time). It has been awhile since I last tinkered with Textpattern, so until we have become better reacquainted, appearances here will likely be a little drab. Part of that is—of course—pleasing my biggest critic with a new design.
Just under a week ago, my wife reminded me that it had been a year since my last post here. She thought I should allud to such in a new post. The problem is that I’ve never maintained this site with quite the same dedication as elsewhere. I’m looking to rectify that. I have a few things in the pipeline that are pushing me to take a better accounting of my online presence. It’s becoming increasingly vital that I do so.
