About Mr. Wilson
I am transplanted Floridian (as much as a former military brat can be) living in Oklahoma. Once upon-a-time I telecommuted for a Japanese software development company, but now I work for a semi-national insurance company hailing from my birth state. During the day I write web applications using the enterprise love child, Java. In my “spare” time, I moonlight as a web designer slash developer using open source darlings PHP and (Ruby on) Rails.
I am the proud father of four, and lucky partner to another. Along with my wife, I coach and volunteer with the Special Olympics here in Oklahoma. Our eldest daughter is a special olympian who competes in a number of events; her favorite being Bocce. We have two other girls and a boy, hence “‘spare time’”.
I am an amateur photographer at best, but like so many others, I find it to be a relaxing and often rewarding hobby. You can find some of my photos on Flickr. I also enjoy woodworking, reading, gaming (of the Mario or Scrabble variety), and long walks on the beach...
Yes, if you're wondering (you likely are not), everyone misspells my name as “Jessie,” even my family. Hence the title of this page and the handle I use most places on these interwebs.
